abstract In the manufacture of solid fuels, e.g. Composite, ramjet fuels or the like, which consist of at least one powdery oxidizer, e.g. Ammonium perchlorate, a prepolymer binder as fuel, possibly other solid fuels and additives, non-pourable mixtures with a viscosity ≥ 1000 Pa.s can be processed into shaped fuels by mixing the components in a kneader under vacuum, the hardener for the binder added with further mixing and the finished mixture is extruded directly from the kneader into a propellant mold against a counter pressure.
