titleOfInvention | Process for obtaining smooth and tack-free surfaces on relief printing plates for flexography, obtained by photopolymerization |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the production of non-sticky, smooth, structureless surfaces of photopolymerized relief printing plates for flexographic printing - the relief layers of which are known per se by imagewise exposure to actinic light of the photopolymerizable relief-forming layers of flexographic printing plates and washing out the unpolymerized, unexposed areas with a suitable solvent are produced - in which the flexographic printing plates are post-treated with a liquid medium containing elemental bromine or a liquid medium capable of forming elemental bromine and then washed with a neutralizing bath, the bromine-containing liquid medium comprising at least one paraffin sulfonate, fatty alcohol ether sulfate, alkyl phosphate or a cationic or anionic surfactant containing one or more perfluorinated carbon chains. |
