abstract New carnitine salts with sulphonic acids, of general formula:n in which R is a linear or branched alkyl chain of 8 to 18 carbon atoms, and which are particularly suitable for oral use. n Said salts are prepared by the following stages:n a) preparing an aqueous solution of carnitine inner salt; b) preparing an aqueous solution of a sulphonic acid of formois RSO 3 H in which R has the aforesaid meaning; c) rescling the carnitine inner salt with the sulphonic acid in aqueous solution, and recovering the salt produced by oryin the solution.
