abstract | In the field of electrodeposition of coatings of iron-zinc alloy, a shiny coating, adhering in iron-zinc containing from 10 to 20% of iron is obtained with a current density range of 43 to 172 amps / dm2 and linear speeds of 30.4 to 152m / min using an electrolyte maintained at a temperature between 54.4 and 71.1oC which contains FeCl2, ZnCl2, KCl, K2SO4, a chelating agent such as citric acid, and a small amount of an adduct consisting primarily of polyalkylene glycols. |
