titleOfInvention Control device for a high-frequency surgical apparatus
abstract The invention relates to a monitoring device for a high-frequency surgical device (1) with a control electrode (4) attached to the body, which taps off the high-frequency voltage on the body surface during treatment and feeds it to a monitoring circuit. The monitoring circuit comprises a voltage comparator (12) which compares the body surface tension with a reference voltage U Rf and, when the reference voltage U Ref is exceeded, controls a relay which switches off the high-frequency surgical device (1). The reference voltage U Ref is determined individually for each patient beforehand and corresponds to the maximum tolerable body surface tension for the patient concerned.
