Carboxylalkyl dipipeptides, their preparation and pharmaceutical compositions containing them. These new dipeptides are represented by formula (I), in which A is selected from one of (II), n, p and q being specific values between 0 and 2, B is ADJ BD- ADL BD- ADM BD- ; D is represented by formula (III); E is -NH-, -O-, -S-, or -CH2-; G has formula (IV) or is -SO2-; J is - (CH2) s- or - ((CH2) tW-; where L is a chemical bond, specific alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic moieties, M is - (CH2) u- or ((CH2) tX- ( (CH2) v) - where n and v are 0-5 and X is -NR9-, -O-, -S-, or has the formula (V) or (VI), R1 and R2 are hydrogen, lower alkyl or acyl; R3 is hydrogen lower alkyl, lower haloalkyl, lower alkyl phenyl, lower alkyl (cycloalkyl), aminomethyl, aminomethyl lower alkyl, aminomethyl lower alkyl phenyl, aminomethyl d (cycloalkyl) lower alkyl thiomethyl lower alkyl, halo lower alkyl thiomethyl, 2-, 3- or 4 - pyridyl lower alkyl, 2, 4- or 5-thiazolyl lower alkyl, 2-4- or 5-1H- imidazoly lower alkyl, 1-imidazolyl lower alkyl, 1-morpholino lower alkyl or hydroxyphenyl lower alkyl; R4 is chlorine CF3; R5 is hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, lower acyl, lower alkoxy, lower haloalkyl or friend lower noalkyl; R6 and R8 are hydroxy or specific substituted hydroxy groups. These compounds exhibit enzyme inhibitory and angiotensin converting activity and / or diuretic activity. |
