Largely linear, terminal hydroxyl-containing polyester polyurethane, which have been prepared by reacting polyester diols with a molecular weight above 600, optionally with the use of low molecular weight chain extenders, with organic diisocyanates using a slight isocyanate deficit, the polyester diols being at least 80% by weight. % of polyester diols in the molecular weight range 4000-6000 consist of (i) adipic acid and (ii) mixtures of 1,4-dihydroxybutane and 1,6-dihydroxyhexane in a molar ratio of the diols of 4: 1 to 1: 4, and the use of Polyester polyurethanes as an adhesive or for the production of adhesives for bonding plastics to themselves or other substrates. |
