titleOfInvention A method and apparatus for taking blood
abstract Method and apparatus used during a blood test which is collected in a container which initially contains the quantity of anticoagulant required to prevent the coagulation of the blood taken and recovered. In order to minimize the amount of blood exposed to an overdose with the anticoagulant, it is proposed according to the invention that most of the anticoagulant present be kept separate from the blood collected in the container during a step of the blood collection and recovery process, and that this separate portion of anticoagulant is supplied, continuously or intermittently, to the blood collected during the continuous blood collection and recovery process and mixed with this last. An arrangement according to the invention comprises suitable means for implementing the method, the construction and the design of these means depending in part on the structural aspects of the container used.
