| abstract |
A polyester multi-filament yarn having thickness unevenness along the length, comprising a bulged portion in which a part of filaments are separated or bulged out from the yam surface, and at least a portion of the filament composing the bulged portion has a wrinkled area disposed intermittently along the length of the filament, each area being formed of a plurality of corrugations created by upheaval of the surface of the filament, each corrugation encircling substantially the entire periphery of the filament perpendicular to the axis of the filament. The yarn is suitably utilized for manufacturing a fabric having a raw silk touch. |
