abstract | The present invention relates to a new process for the preparation of metal acid esters in which titanium, zirconium or hafnium are present as metal atoms. The process is characterized in that the halides of these metals are reacted with organosilane esters. This creates partial esters of the metal acids mentioned. If alkyl esters are used as organosilane esters, metallic acid partial esters with three ester groups can be obtained in this way; When organosilane aryl esters are used, complete esterification of the metal halides can even be achieved. The metallic acid partial esters produced according to the process are obtained in a very pure form and can be selectively separated from the mixture obtained in a simple manner. The alkyl acid esters obtained can be further esterified very easily to the metal tetraalkyl esters in a manner known per se, likewise very pure tetra alkyl esters being obtained. |
