titleOfInvention | PRESSURE SENSITIVE SILICONE ADHESIVE AND USES THEREOF. |
abstract | Silicone based pressure sensitive adhesives. Adhesives must satisfy an array of specific performance requirements when used in conjunction with transdermal therapeutic devices. A pressure sensitive adhesive has been formulated having favorable adhesive, shear, liquid permeability and release characteristics. The adhesive is a crosslinked polymerization product of a methyl/phenyl siloxane gum, dimethyl siloxane gum and a polysiloxane resin. The resulting adhesive provided suitable adhesion to a variety of surfaces and particular utility as an adhesive between plastic film and human skin as in transdermal therapeutic devices. |
