titleOfInvention PRESSURE SENSITIVE SILICONE ADHESIVE AND USES THEREOF.
abstract Silicone based pressure sensitive adhesives. Adhesives must satisfy an array of specific performance requirements when used in conjunction with transdermal therapeutic devices. A pressure sensitive adhesive has been formulated having favorable adhesive, shear, liquid permeability and release characteristics. The adhesive is a crosslinked polymerization product of a methyl/phenyl siloxane gum, dimethyl siloxane gum and a polysiloxane resin. The resulting adhesive provided suitable adhesion to a variety of surfaces and particular utility as an adhesive between plastic film and human skin as in transdermal therapeutic devices.
