A polypropylene-based resin composition comprises (A) from 60 to 99 parts by weight of a polypropylene or a copolymer of propylene and ethylene or a C4-C10 alphaolefin and (B) from 1 to 40 parts by weight of an ethylene terpolymer composed of by weight 25 to 98.6% of ethylene, 0.5 to 15% of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride (e.g. maleic) and 1 to 60% of an unsaturated C4-12 ester compound, and/or a modified copolymer obtained by ring-opening addition-reaction of the anhydride group of the terpolymer with a 1-20C alcohol. n The copolymer is preferably made by polymerisation at a high pressure of 500 to 3000 atm in the presence of a radical generator. n Other polymers, fillers and agents may be present. n The composition provides molded articles having excellent finishing workability and improved mechanical properties. |
