abstract The invention relates to new agents and their use for the detection of redox systems by oxidative coupling (Trinder reaction), which contain aniline derivatives of the formula 1 as color images in which R 1 can be hydrogen, lower alkyl and aryl, R 2 for hydrogen, lower alkyl, which can be substituted by hydroxyl, amino, carboxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl, lower alkanoylamido groups, aryl-lower alkyl and aryl and groups of the structure in which R 5 and R 6 have the meaning given below, can be substituted, R 3 can be hydrogen, carboxy or halogen, R 4 and R 4 , are hydrogen, halogen, carboxy, lower alkoxy or one preferably in m -Position is lower alkyl group and R 1 and R 2 or R 2 and R 4 or R 4 and R 4 ' in the event that the two substituents are ortho to each other, together a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon chain with 2-6 C- Can form atoms, which can be substituted by hydroxyl or oxo groups, R 5 can be hydrogen or a lower alkyl group and R 6 is a hydroxy, a lower alkoxy, a lower alkyl or aryl group, as well as their salts with acids or bases, and new aniline derivatives of the formula I 'and process for their preparation, in which R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 4 , which have the above meaning and R 6 represents a hydroxyl, a lower alkyl or aryl group, and their salts with acids or bases.
