titleOfInvention Neutral body posture chair
abstract Chair allowing the body of a user to assume a neutral position, defined as the natural position assumed by the body in weightlessness, where the systems formed by muscles, tendons and ligaments and acting on the joints are in total equilibrium, the trunk of the body forming an angle of approximately 127 degrees relative to the upper part of the legs and the upper part of the legs forming an angle of approximately 127 degrees relative to the lower part of the legs. The chair includes a bowl-shaped seat (12) at the pelvis, leg passages (32) for supporting the upper legs, and raised sides (30) holding the user in position selected. The seat further includes a raised pommel (34) which supports the user's pubic bone, in order to maintain the user's body in the neutral position forming the desired angle, preventing it from sliding from the seat. The chair assembly includes a backrest (16), footrests (26) and a suitable base (20). The chair includes members for regulating the height of the seat and its tilt angle as well as the tilt and height of the backrest.
