abstract Phosphonic acid esters obtainable by reacting organophosphonic acids of the general formula R-PO 3 H 2 , in which R is preferably an alkyl group with 6-18 C atoms, with 1-10 mol, preferably 1-5 mol, of ethylene oxide and / or propylene oxide are suitable as additives to hair treatment agents, preferably to shampoos based on anionic surfactants and preferably ampholytic or betaine surfactants, to improve the combability of the hair. The amount added is 0.1-10% by weight, in shampoos 1-5% by weight.
