Quaternary ammonium compounds of the formula RK <+> A- where R is n-fluoroalkyl, n-fluoroalkenyl, n-alkyl, n-alkenyl or a group of the formulas Rf-SO2 -? - (CH2) x-, Rf- (CH2) y -CO-? - (CH2) x- or Rf- (CH2) yB (CH2) x- Rf n-fluoroalkyl or n-fluoroalkenyl, R1 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, X is an integer from 2 to 6, y 0, 1 or 2 an oxygen or sulfur atom, K <+> a cation of the formulas <IMAGE> R2 hydrogen, C1-C4-hydroxyalkyl, C1-C5-alkyl, benzyl or phenyl, R3 hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, R4 in each case the same or can be different, mean hydrogen or C1-C3-alkyl and A- means an anion as defined in the description. These compounds are suitable as flow accelerators in turbulent flowing aqueous media. |
