abstract |
Method for the determination in serum of apolipoprotein B (apo B) of low density lipoproteins (LDL) enabling successively, in a single operation, by electrophoresis, a separation of LDL from other lipoproteins containing apo B which are retained in a polyacrylamide gel (1) of controlled crosslinking, and an apo-B assay of the LDLs thus separated by electro-immunodiffusion in agarose gel (2) containing anti-apo B antibodies. The samples are placed in wells (3) made in acrylamide gel and the height of the precipitation arcs in the agarose gel is measured. |
