titleOfInvention | PENIS PROSTHESIS. |
abstract | Penis prosthesis (20) intended to be implanted surgically in the penis for the treatment of impotence due to lack of erection. The prosthesis includes an articulated column (26) having alternate joints (56) enclosed with a switch (30) within an elongated outer sheath (28). The switch (30) is aligned to allow the articulated column (26) to be reversibly extended against the ends of the sheath and to tension a tension member (32), thereby increasing the friction resistance at the joints ( 56) and causing an erection. |
