There are N- (2,10-dioxa-tricyclo- [5, 3.1, 0 3.8 ) -undecan-5-yl) -tryptamine compounds of the formula I. with hypotensive effect, wherein R 1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or benzyl, R 2 denotes lower alkyl or lower alkano y l, R 3 represents hydrogen or lower alkyl, R 4 denotes hydrogen, lower alkoxy, benzyloxy or hydroxy, R 5 is hydrogen, lower alkoxy, benzyloxy or hydroxy, and A and B each represent hydrogen or together form a bond, and their preparation is described.
