abstract A sample holder for secondary ion mass spectrometry and other sensitive particle beam analysis methods should have a further simplified structure and thus be easier to manufacture. The sample holder has a rotating part (DT) on which at least one carrier device (NA) is attached, the dimensions of which in directions perpendicular to the ion or particle beam (IB) are smaller than the dimensions of a sample (PR) attached to a carrier device (NA) ).
