It is a method and a device for producing compacts, in particular from naturally moist biomass. The compacts should be storable and be usable as biofuel. In the device, e.g. consists of at least one chopper and at least one screw press, the biomass is crushed to a certain particle size. The material to be comminuted is intimately mixed with a non-oxidized plastic microcrystalline wax (recycling wax) before it is pressed into a compression chamber via the screw press in order to form at least one compact. In the case of biomasses with relatively high moisture contents, in particular naturally moist biomasses, an inorganic adsorbent which is compatible with the microcrystalline wax, in particular sodium or potassium aluminum silicate, is mixed in before the wax is added to bind the moisture. |
