titleOfInvention | SEBUM COLLECTION AND TAXES. |
abstract | Mechanism designed to absorb the sebum secreted by a subject's sebaceous glands as well as to provide a semi-quantitative estimate of the rate of sebum production in different places of the subject's skin and a record of the patterns of excretion on the skin ; said mechanism comprises a microporous hydrophobic polymeric film substrate coated over a large part of its surface with a high molecular weight adhesive which is resistant to migration into the pores of the polymeric film. It is also possible to use said mechanism for therapeutic purposes to absorb excess sebum or to deliver medication at places of abnormal sebaceous secretion. Method for establishing secretion patterns on the skin by applying a hydrophobic microporous polymer film to the skin for a predetermined time. |
