New tricyclo derivatives AD5,2,1,02,6 BDdecane of general formula (A), where R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen residue or, alternatively, one of the substituents of the pair of substituents formed by R1 and R2 is a methyl group and the other a hydrogen residue, R3 is a) an oxo group or b) a hydroxy, acetoxy or propoxy group and a hydrogen residue, R4 is an alkenyl residue having between 2 and 4 carbon atoms or an alkyl residue having between 1 and 4 carbon atoms with a straight or branched chain, and where one of the hatched lines represents a single bond between two carbon atoms and the other a single bond between two atoms of carbon or a double bond in position 3 or 4, the residues R1 and R2, the side chains in position 4, respectively 5, and if necessary a double bond in position, respectively 4, being contained in such a way that the compounds of formula (A) are presented as mixtures; process for the manufacture of these tricyclo derivatives AD5,2,1,02,6 BDdecane, as well as the use of the new compound of formula (A) as perfumes, respectively components of perfume compositions for perfuming cosmetic and technical products. |
