titleOfInvention | Analytical element containing a barrier zone and process employing same |
abstract | Multi-zone element, for quantitative analytical determination in whole blood, containing a porous dispersion zone separated from a reactive zone by a barrier zone, said barrier zone comprising a non-porous film formed from a polymer composed of: 30 to 95 % by weight of polymerized monomers of structure (I), 0.25 to 30% by weight of polymerized monomers of structure (II) and 0.1 to 50% by weight of polymerized monomers of structure (III), where R1, R3 and R5 are independently chosen from the group formed by hydrogen and methyl, R2 is an alkyl having between 1 and 16 carbon atoms, R4 and R6 are independently selected from the group formed by alkenes groups having between 1 and 6 atoms carbon, (IV), where R7 represents a hydrogen, an alkyl having between 1 and 10 carbon atoms or a cycloalkyl having between 5 and 10 carbon atoms, and M represents NR8R9H + X or SO3-X where R8 and R9 are independently selected from the group formed by hydr ogene and alkyls having between 1 and 4 carbon atoms and where X is a counterion. Method of using this element in analyzes carried out in whole blood. |
