Molding compositions based on polyvinyl chloride contain, as an impact-resistant component, homo- and copolymeric acrylic acid esters of oxyethylates of phenol or substituted phenols, the difference in the refractive indices (at 20 ° C, measured with the Na-D line) between the base polymer and the impact-resistant component is ± 0.01, if appropriate, mixtures with other acrylic acid esters may also be present in the molding compositions. They are inexpensive to manufacture and, in addition to transparency and weather stability, also show improved impact resistance. |
