abstract | A method of preparing the babesiosis antigen comprises the following steps: i) forming a crude babesiosis antigen fraction which is derived from a lysate of erythrocytes infected with babesia or its soluble fraction; ii) formation of a monoclonal antibody on this antigenic fraction of babesiosis by cloning of cells producing antibodies from an animal to which this antigenic fraction of babesiosis has been administered; iii) absorption of this monoclone antibody on an absorbent and passage of the babesiosis antigen fraction through this absorbent so as to bind a specific antigen to the monoclone antibody; and iv) separation of the specific antigen from the monoclonal antibody. |
