abstract The present invention relates to a machine for splicing the electrodes of electric arc furnaces.n n n Machine characterized in that the bell (3) is provided, between its clamping mandrels, with a centering mandrel (7), in that the upper mandrel (4) is equipped with an expandable stop (8) limiting its opening, and pinions (9) for driving the tightening spiral of the retractable jaws (1), and in that the device (6) for driving in rotation of the bell (3) consists of a screw assembly ( 11) - nut (12) for translational movement of the bell (3), by motors (13) for final screwing of the electrode, and by a device (14) for driving in rotation and braking the bell (3), all of the control elements being pneumatically controlled.
