titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of asymmetric disiloxanes
abstract Asymmetric disiloxane is produced in that a (a) silane with three SiC-bonded, monovalent organic radicals, at least one of which can be replaced by Si-bonded hydrogen, and an SiOC-bonded, monovalent organic radical, water and a (b ) symmetric disiloxane, which differs from the disiloxane by the nature of at least two identical substituents, which would result in the hydrolysis of the silane (a) and was prepared before the addition of the silane (a), in the presence of acid. According to a preferred embodiment of the process according to the invention, silane of the formula where R 1 is a monovalent organic radical composed of carbon, hydrogen and optionally oxygen and is added to a mixture of tetramethyldisiloxane, water and hydrogen chloride and care is taken to ensure that the temperature of the mixture remains within -10 ° C. to 25 ° C.
