A novel pyranose oxidase exhibiting strong specific activity substantially only on glucose is disclosed, as well as a method for its preparation by fermentation of a microorganism of the genus Coriolus, Daedaleopsis, Gloeophyllum or Pleurotus. The enzyme is useful for the determination of glucose, and methods for doing this, as well as components for use therein are described. |
