abstract |
The outer container (5) has a deformable plastics inner container (24) located within it. This inner container (24) forms two chambers (20,30) completely isolated from each other. The inner container (24) is fixed in the outer container by being gripped by the screw lid (8). Blood or plasma is introduced to the inner container (24) via an inlet pipe (36) and expands the container collecting at the bottom (10). To transfuse the blood or plasma an external pressured air source (e.g hand bellows) is connected to the outer chamber (20) via a connector (9). The contents (10) are then evacuated through an outlet (41). |
