| abstract |
Luer connection system in which a male Luer connector (20) has a main body part (22) and a front Luer part (24) provided with a locking ring (42) which can slide axially along the part of main body (22). The locking ring (42) is designed to be screwed onto a corresponding female Luer device (52). The male Luer connector (20) carries a collar (26) between the main body part (22) and the front Luer part (24). The Luer connector has a flexible member (38) which deforms to assume a tensioned position when the locking ring (42) is screwed onto the corresponding female Luer device (52). In this way a certain resistance is caused in the engagement by thread to prevent the involuntary disengagement of the locking ring (42). |
