Radiation-resistant vinyl chloride resin compositions |
abstract |
Resinous compositions that are stabilized against the deteriorative effect of gamma and other ionizing radiation comprise a vinyl halide resin, from 2 % to 4 % by weight, based on the weight of the vinyl halide resin, of an organotin mercaptoacid ester, and an epoxy compound in the amount of from 3 parts to 5 parts by weight of the epoxy compound per part by weight of the organotin mercaptoacid ester. n The stabilized vinyl halide resin compositions can be used in the aseptic packaging of foods and other perishable materials. |
