The present invention relates to a desalination plant for sea water and the like for producing water for drinking or artificial irrigation using solar energy. In known systems, the high maintenance and energy requirements and the unfavorable throughput are noticeable. The invention provides a remedy here in that the evaporation units in a desalination plant have a large number of spherical evaporation elements which, by their shape and material properties, prevent the formation of salt residues and, on the other hand, ensure an optimal dwell time for the salt water. A saw-blade-shaped solar collector, which acts as a roof, and an artificial lake as a solar heat accumulator enable optimal use of solar energy at low construction costs. If necessary, wind energy can be used to drive the pumps and the compressor. |
