titleOfInvention Silicone-containing hard contact lens materials having increased oxygen permeability
abstract This invention relates to an improved hard contact lens npolymeric material comprising a siloxane-based ester monnomer, solely, or in combination with methacrylic acid-nderived cross-linking agents, alkanol esters, and/or hydronphilic monomers. Hard contact lenses made from these npolymeric materials have an increased oxygen permeability nand surface wettability and thus have potential use in nextended-wear lens applications.
