titleOfInvention Process for the continual preparation of alkoxysilanes
abstract The present invention deals with the continuous production of monomeric or oligomeric alkoxysilanes. The process enables the production of an alkoxysilane with hydrogen chloride contents below 20 ppm. In the process, the esterification is carried out continuously in a reactor and the crude esterification product is added to the top of a column. The alcohol to be used is evaporated in this column and condensed above the column. The crude product drips down from the top of the column, where it is collected as a pure product. The process is suitable for the production of tetraalkoxysilanes as well as substituted alkoxysilanes. Partly condensed alkoxysilanes with a defined SiO 2 content can also be produced by the process.
