A method for the synchronization of several data processing systems is specified, which process identical programs for process control in stand-by mode. In this case, data transfers triggered by interrupts should only be carried out when all data processing systems have reached the same state in the program processing. This state is determined by counting commands and comparing the counter readings in such a way that after an interrupt occurs for the data processing system with the highest counter reading, further processing of commands is prevented, and the other data processing systems continue processing until they have the same counter reading achieved. Only then is the synchronous data transfer triggered. A device for performing the method is specified, in which the required assemblies are combined in a monitoring unit. |
