titleOfInvention METHOD FOR TESTING FREE LIGANDS.
abstract A method of determining the amount of free coordination groups in a test sample where the coordination group is also present in association with one or more endogenous receptors, comprises combining the test sample, the coordination group receptor and the unlabeled differential binding coordination group analog, to incubate them to allow competition between the free coordinating group and the unlabeled differential binding coordination group analog for the coordinating group receptor separating the coordination group analog, determining the amount of coordination group receptor linked to the coordination group or coordination group analog, and correlating the amount of fixed coordination group receptor with the amount free coordination group present in the test sample.
