titleOfInvention Countercurrent washing tower and countercurrent washing method using same
abstract A countercurrent washing tower including a slurry-charging nozzle provided in an upper part of the tower, a slurry-dispersing member disposed underneath the slurry- feeding nozzle and a plurality of washing liquid feeding nozzles provided in a lower part of the tower, thereby conducting the countercurrent washing of the slurry while maintaining each of the flows of the slurry and washing liquid in a stable and macroscopically-laminar state within the tower. A slurry of a synthetic resin can be washed countercurrently with good washing efficiency and percentage recovery of the synthetic resin by using the above washing tower and charging the slurry of the synthetic resin through the slurry-charging nozzle at a flow velocity of 0.5 m/sec. or slower as measured at the opening of the slurry-charging nozzle and, at the same time, feeding the washing liquid from the washing liquid feeding nozzles, preferably at a flow velocity of 0.2 m/sec. or slower as measured at the openings of the washing liquid feeding nozzles.
