The invention relates to a process for the production of low-shrinkage polyamide moldings by activated alkaline lactam polymerization. The polymerization, preferably by reaction injection molding technology, is carried out in the presence of 5 to 80% by weight of a polymer P which 1. is completely soluble in lactam, 2. segregates in the course of the polymerization at a conversion between 1 and 50%, 3. is composed of at least one block compatible with polylactam and at least one block not compatible with polylactam, and preferably 4. has functional groups that are incorporated into the growing polylactam chain.
