Numerous dicotyledonous weeds, as well as field fox tail and especially millet species can be successfully combated with good selectivity in barley, wheat, rice, as well as in cotton or soybeans with cyclopentylamino- or cyclohexylamino-methyhhio-s-triazines of the general formula in the R, a straight. or branched chain alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl or alkylol radical or an H atom R is a radical from the group of alkyls with 1 to 3 carbon atoms and A = -CH 2 or -CH 2 -CH 2 - mean and n for A = -CH 2 - each 0 or 1,2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, or for A = -CH 2 -CH 2 - can each be 3, 4, 5 or 6 and the substituents R on the cycloalkyl rings can be identical or different.
