Methods and materials are described which can be used to behance the stability of genetically engineered plasmids in Gram-positive organism. Genetically engineered plasmids and their preparation are discribed, which plasmids comprise a DNA fragment which enhances their stability, and the invention also includes Gram-positive organisms transformed with such plasmids. n The invention embraces the DNA fragments as such which are encoded for such stability and methods of obtaining them. |
