titleOfInvention Carboxylic acid-functional polysiloxane polymers, process for preparing the same and use thereof
abstract The invention relates to novel carboxylic acid-nfunctional polysiloxane polymers having at least one unit of nthe formula n nin which R is a monovalent hydrocarbon radical, A is a ncarboxylic acid-functional radical selected from the group nconsisting of n nwherein R′ is a divalent hydrocarbon radical selected from nthe group consisting of (CH₂) y , CH=CH, C₁₄H₂₆ or a cyclic nhydrocarbon radical selected from the group consisting of nC₃H₄, C₄H₆, C₅H₈, C₆H₄, C₆H₆, C₆H₈, C₆H₁₀ and C₁₀H₆, or a nbicyclic radical selected from the group consisting of C₇H₈, nC₇H₁₀, C₈H₁₀ and C₈H₁₃, R″ is selected from the group connsisting of saturated divalent hydrocarbon radicals, hydroncarbonoxy radicals in which the hydrocarbon group is linked nto the silicon by a carbon bond and the oxygen is in the form nof an ether linkage and unsaturated divalent hydrocarbon nradicals, a is a number of from 0 to 2, b is a number of from n0 to 10, and y is a number of from 0 to 10.
