Microporous powdery polylactides with an essentially isotropic structure, with spherical cavities connected by pores, are obtained by heating polylactides in xylene until they dissolve completely and by cooling the resulting clear solution. The microporous, powdery polymers can be loaded with active ingredients and used for controlled long-term release. |
