Flame retardant thermoplastic polyamide or polyurethane molding compositions containing A. 1 to 10% by weight of red phosphorus as a flame retardant, B. 1 to 15 wt .-% of a carrier resin for the phosphorus and C. 0.05 to 8% by weight of a metal compound as a stabilizer for the phosphorus. n n n The carrier resin is a low-molecular, low-melting polyamide, preferably a copolyamide end-capped from caprolactam, adipic acid and hexamethylene diamine.n n n The preferred stabilizer is cadmium oxide. |
