Liposome conjugates and diagnostic methods therewith |
abstract |
Several antibodies that occur naturally on antigens on the surface of human erythrocytes are able to combine with their specific antigens (e.g. Rhesus factor), but are unable to produce harmful hemagglutination. Likewise, the sensitivity of many diagnostic methods, such as the determination of the blood group in humans, depends on the agglutination of the cells. The present invention makes it possible to obtain liposome-protein conjugates, especially useful for hemagglutination analyzes, having an increased agglutination capacity compared to the antibody from which the conjugates are derived. |
