abstract Method for the determination of beta-lactam nucleus antibiotics in a biological fluid.n n n This process comprises the following stages: 1) incubation of the biological fluid with the soluble D-alanyl-D-alanine-carboxypeptidase produced by the strain Actinomadura R39; 2) incubation of the product obtained at the end of stage 1) with a substrate solution; 3) determining the amount of D-alanine formed in step 2); 4) comparing the determination of stage 3) with a standard; the enzyme used being immobilized on a support insoluble in water separated from the biological liquid (stage 1) and washed before being incubated in stage 2).n n n The invention also relates to a test kit comprising the reagents to be used for carrying out the process.
