MELAMINE RESINS, METHOD FOR THEIR PRODUCTION AND THEIR USE, AND MOLDS MADE FROM THE RESINS. |
abstract |
Modified melamine - formaldehyde resins are prepared with a molar ratio of melamine: formaldehyde = 1: (1.25 to 0.7), by heating the melamine in solution, respectively aqueous suspension with formaldehyde in a molar ratio of melamine: formaldehyde = 1; (1.27 to 0.7) at a pH of 8 to 11 at a temperature of 105 to 160 for the time required to obtain a resin exhibiting at 20 C a dilution power in water of 1: (0.1 to 4). Is added, before, during or after the condensation less than 25% by weight of a glycolic ether of formula: R (OCH2CH2) nOH in which R represents alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 1 to 5 and / or p-toluol sulfonamide. Resins are used for the preparation of molded bodies. |
