abstract |
A hydrocarbon is separated from a gas mixture containing various hydrocarbons and small amounts of oxygen using a pressure swing adsorption process. This component to be obtained is withdrawn from the adsorbers with the desorbate stream. A method is proposed in which the build-up of impermissibly high oxygen concentrations is reliably avoided in every stage of the adsorption process. It is essential that an adsorber is pressed on with an oxygen-poor gas. |
