titleOfInvention Process and device for producing domestic hot water from the heat power wasted in cooling down vehicle engines
abstract Production of domestic hot water from energy lost in heat engines. The device comprises two firm hydraulic circuits, traversed by different fluids and each having its own pump. The cooling or primary circuit comprises a liquid-air (4) and liquid-liquid (3) exchanger. The secondary circuit (8) allows the heating of water for domestic use, the capacity (12) circulating thanks to the pump (9). The 'calorstat' type device (2) ensures the circulation of the fluid driven by the pump (1), towards (3) when the engine temperature is sufficient. The device (5) ensures the circulation of the primary fluid towards (4) when the temperature in (3) becomes too high. Thermostats (34, 35) allow the pump (9) to be started as soon as the temperature of the coolant reaches 40 to 60 C and to stop this pump when the water temperature for domestic use is sufficient. (60 to 80 C). The hot water produced can be used on the vehicle (motorhome, caravan) or in a home either by transfer to a tank by means of valves such as (20, 21, 22) and flexible piping (28, 29) or by use of the capacity (12) as a normal hot water tank.
