titleOfInvention Process for the preparation of sulphonates of aromatic hydrocarbons and the use of said sulphonates in the assisted recovery of crude oil
abstract Process for the preparation of aromatic hydrocarbon sulfonates, in particular intended for the enhanced recovery of crude oil, this process consisting in reacting sulfuric anhydride with a feed comprising at least one aromatic hydrocarbon and comprising the following steps: a) the reaction of sulfuric anhydride with at least one aromatic hydrocarbon contained in the feed, said reaction being carried out in a solvent consisting of a mixture of 5% to 95% by volume of at least one aliphatic halogenated hydrocarbon having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and from 95% to 5% by volume of at least one saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon having from 5 to 10 carbon atoms, b) decantation of the reaction mixture obtained in step a), said decantation leading to obtaining: - a first lower phase, containing the majority of the polysulfonic acids obtained in step a), - a second upper phase, containing the majority of the monosulfonic acids obtained in step a), c) neutralization of the second phase obtained in step b), d) separation, from the second neutralized phase obtained in step c), of a product containing the majority of the monosulfonates.
